Singapore Is The Most Cyber-Secure nation!

A UN survey has revealed that Singapore is the most cyber-secure country in the world.
The Global Cybersecurity Index (GCI), conducted by the UN’s International Telecommunication Union (ITU), assesses the overall cyber security landscape of the ITU’s 193 member states. It determines each country’s cyber security situation using its five pillars – legal, technical, organization, capacity building, and cooperation.
WHAT ARE THE RANKINGS?
Singapore was first in the top 10 list when it came to cybersecurity commitment levels, with the report noting that it has a long history of cybersecurity initiatives. The US placed second, while Malaysia came in third. Other countries named on the top 10 list were Oman, Estonia, Mauritius, Australia, Georgia, France and Canada. Russia ranked 11th. Equatorial Guinea came in the last place, with Yemen and Central African Republic scoring only slightly better.
WHAT IS INDIA’S RANK?
India is ranked 23rd out of 165 nations on the index with a score of 0.683 and has been listed in the ‘maturing’ category, which refers to 77 countries that have developed complex commitments to cybersecurity and engage in cybersecurity programs and initiatives.
