A Restaurant To Serve You The Wrong Order!
June 16, 2017
The Toyosu district in Tokyo, Japan saw the opening of a new kind of restaurant – one that serves the wrong order.
The restaurant named ‘The Restaurant of Wrong Orders’ serves its customers with the dishes that they did not order instead of the ones they actually ordered. The aim is to teach people patience and understanding. Restaurant servers are humans, just like the rest of us, and they can make mistakes too. But not many of us remember that when the hunger pangs hit hard. The restaurant hopes to change all that, and increase people’s awareness about those suffering from dementia. The restaurant employs only people suffering from dementia.
WHAT IS DEMENTIA?
Dementia is a general term for a decline in mental ability severe enough to interfere with daily life. Memory loss is an example. Alzheimer’s is the most common type of dementia.

The restaurant hopes to create a little social and culinary experiment which will help people understand and sympathize with dementia patients, as well as prove that they can be fully-functioning members of society. The restaurant was on a trial period from the 2nd to the 4th of June 2017. Now that it is a success, the owners are planning to launch its second round around the time of World Alzheimer’s Day.
